DMCA Policy for Antigone Play Analysis

Antigone Play Analysis ("we", "us", or "our") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we will respond promptly to notices of alleged copyright infringement that are properly provided to us.

This policy outlines the procedures for submitting a notification of claimed infringement ("DMCA Notice") and for submitting a counter-notification to restore material that has been mistakenly removed ("DMCA Counter-Notification").

Filing a DMCA Notification of Infringement

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied and is accessible on Antigone Play Analysis in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, you may submit a written DMCA Notice to our designated Copyright Agent. For your DMCA Notice to be valid, it must substantially comply with the following requirements:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work: Provide a description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
  2. Identification of the infringing material: Provide a description of the material that you claim is infringing and where it is located on the Antigone Play Analysis website with sufficient detail so that we can find it (e.g., direct URL to the specific page or post).
  3. Contact information of the complaining party: Include your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. Statement of good faith belief: Include a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. Statement of accuracy and authority: Include a statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  6. Physical or electronic signature: Provide your physical or electronic signature.

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA Notice, we will promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and take reasonable steps to notify the user who posted the material.

Filing a DMCA Counter-Notification

If you believe that material you posted on Antigone Play Analysis was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled, you may submit a DMCA Counter-Notification to our designated Copyright Agent. For your DMCA Counter-Notification to be valid, it must substantially comply with the following requirements:

  • Identification of the removed material: Identify the specific URL(s) of the material that Antigone Play Analysis has removed or to which access has been disabled.
  • Statement of good faith belief: Include a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification of the material.
  • Contact information of the counter-notifying party: Provide your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  • Consent to jurisdiction: Include a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which Antigone Play Analysis may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA Notice or an agent of such person.
  • Physical or electronic signature: Provide your physical or electronic signature.

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA Counter-Notification, we will promptly forward a copy to the person who submitted the original DMCA Notice. If the copyright owner does not file a court action seeking a court order to restrain the user from engaging in infringing activity within 10-14 business days, we may restore the removed material or cease disabling access to it.
